As for Greek desserts, this is one of my favourites. It is easy to make and tastes great. I posted the original recipe in March and it has generated numerous email responses from people thanking me for sharing it. I decided to publish it as a video recipe to underline the simplicity of making this pie.
The original posting of this recipe along with the ingredient list can be found here. As mentioned in the video, variations of this recipe can include phyllo pastry as a pie shell, the addition of vanilla extract/flavour to the mix, as well as fruit preserves or other spreads as toppings; cinnamon can also be sprinkled overtop. I sincerely hope you will try this recipe and let me know how it turned out for you.

Mmmmm...galatopita is a fave here. Actually, I've never made it myself (always my mum) but this looks dead easy! Sam, keep up the "vlogging"...it's original, well thought out and very explanatory...I love the music you use too! Cheers!
One of my favourite desserts as well. Sounds delicious.

Looks delish! Love the video!
Sam -
You are getting better and better at those videos! What's going on??
I can't believe that you are not saying one single "uhm" - compared to my videos! Lol.
Keep it going - you have a hand for it (cooking and video)!
Also "Pita" in Romanian means "bread" in some parts of the country.
Thanks!
Great video Sam! Again.
I have never heard of milk pie. It looks interesting. Even as a canvas for so many variations. I like this!
Great video recipe, Sam! I yet have to try this recipe. I am sure it will be a hit. My daughter will love it! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my god! this is wonderful... I've got semolina and milk, and I am so making this.
Bookmarked.
Sam, just saw the video completely, and had a couple of questions... does the milk have to cool completely before we add the eggs or is just 5 min of cooling time (as mentioned in the video) sufficient?
And also, was the semolina roasted or just raw?
Excellent video. I tried this in Greece and loved it.
Thanks for the tutorial and the recipe.

This video is beautifully done - very clear, and very, very appetizing. Thank you for sharing.
